SISTERCARE ALLIANCE AT A GLANCE

Here at the SisterCARE Alliance, we are driven by a single goal; to promote self-care as a form of social justice while connecting likeminded women of color who view social justice as a form of self-care. Our approach to contributing to our community includes integrating our critical self-care needs while simultaneously responding to needs of our families and communities.

We strive to participate in collaborative efforts that push for freedom from emotional slavery and societal injustices to our community.

It takes courage to believe you can take care of your family's critical needs, your community's critical needs and your own at the same time. It is possible as long as you join forces with others and maintain a critical Self Care Plan for yourself.

You can do it. The SisterCARE Alliance is here to help. Contact us.

OUR STORY

Courage ... Grace ... and Strength in Numbers

Becoming more and more frustrated with the reality that critical self-care for women of color is typically ignored, we chose to fight that dangerous societal norm head on and together by creating the SisterCARE Alliance. We launched our organization based on a #selfcarerevolution framework which includes educating and empowering women of African decent with the inspiration to create their own strategic Self Care Plan as a form of social justice.

Rooted in the resilience and power of our ancestors, the SisterCARE Alliance emerged out of a pursuit to reinforce the strong survival based connection made between women with a more formalized and supportive network. This act of coming together in an organized and strategic fashion to care for ourselves and our community is intentional.

We believe we must remain proactive as an organization when encouraging women who are caretakers nurturers, activists and leaders to be self-care revolutionaries while they simultaneously fight for the well being of their families and justice within their communities.

Established in 2014, we are a network of professionals, mothers, sisters, entrepreneurs,  activists, self-care advocates and leaders who are supported by families and communities that believe in our protection, well being and fulfillment of our purpose.

We strive to contribute to the eradication of self-care suicide, domestic violence, depression, human and sex trafficking, emotional slavery, economic enslavement and social injustices within our communities one gathering, donation drive, presentation, workshop, social justice action and SisterCARE Support Group at a time.
